DOG BOARDING & DAYCARE

Zelda’s Dog Academy is proud to have an attentive small-scale dog boarding facility servicing Bozeman, MT and surrounding areas. With only 10 spacious indoor kennels and the owner living on site we guarantee a more personalized and comfortable experience for your dog. Boarding fewer dogs prevents over-stimulation and anxiety and allows for a more relaxed environment for your dog to settle and peacefully sleep. In addition to requiring up to date vaccinations and flea/tick treatment, our dog boarding facility is well maintained and meticulously cleaned to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all our visiting canine friends. Our facility is climate controlled and heated flooring ensures your dog will stay comfortably warm even during our freezing winters! Each kennel (5-ft by 5-ft) has a raised cot and soft bedding as well as stainless steel bowls. Our dog boarding facility is located on 1.5 acres providing ample space for daily exercise. All dogs will receive daily exercise, either individually or with other dogs depending on their social ability. Since the owner is a positive reinforcement dog trainer you can rest easy knowing that your dog’s care and exercise routine is being supervised by a professional. Any play with other dogs is carefully monitored to ensure all participating dogs are enjoying themselves; arousal levels are kept at a reasonable level and frequent breaks are encouraged. In addition to daily exercise, your dog will receive regular nap times and optional enrichment activities and training opportunities.

BOARDING & DAYCARE PRICES & ADD-ONS:

BOARDING: KENNEL (5-ft by 5-ft):

  • 1 KENNEL (1 dog) - $50 per day

  • 1 KENNEL (2 dogs) - $85 per day

*If preferred, standard metal wire dog crates are available

DAYCARE: KENNEL (5-ft by 5-ft):

  • 1 KENNEL (1 dog) - $35 per day

  • 1 KENNEL (2 dogs) - $65 per day

ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES:

  • Frozen KONG (Peanut Butter OR Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Wet Food) $3 per activity

  • Frozen LickiMat (Peanut Butter OR Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Wet Food) $3 per activity

  • Food Puzzle (Puzzle Ball or Puzzle Board) $3 per activity

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Private one-on-one training: $100 per 1 hour lesson (great for quick refreshers, enrichment training, or learning 1-2 new behaviors)

  • Medication (not given in food) $1 per administration

  • Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and Skin Kibble (provided for dogs that run out of their own food) $3 per meal

  • Individual Exercise (dogs that require individual exercise due to behavioral concerns or owner preference) $8 per day

BOARDING & DAYCARE REQUIREMENTS:

  • All NEW dog boarding clients must have their dog(s) scheduled for a trial day/night prior to extended boarding. All NEW dog daycare clients must have their dog(s) scheduled for trial day prior to regular daycare visits. Not ALL dogs will pass our criteria to attend daycare and/or boarding.

  • All dogs are REQUIRED to have and be up to date on:

    • Rabies vaccination

    • Distemper/Parvo vaccination

    • Bordetella vaccination

    • Flea/Tick/Lice Preventative

    • Deworming

  • Proof of vaccinations is required. All vaccinations must be given at least 7 days prior to boarding stay. Puppies must be up to date on their series of vaccinations and must have at minimum their first Distemper/Parvo vaccination and a Bordetella vaccination).

  • We only accept dog-social and human-social dogs in our boarding facility. Any prospective boarding dog that is dog/human reactive or aggressive must first be evaluated by one of our trainers (evaluation does not guarantee your dog will have a spot in our boarding facility).

  • We allow dogs of any age. Intact males and non-spayed females are welcome. Please understand that intact males or females in heat may create additional work for our caretaker and may incur additional charges. Group play may not be suitable for intact males or non-spayed females.

  • We do NOT accept dogs who:

    • Are human or dog reactive or aggressive (without a prior evaluation)

    • Have severe separation anxiety and/or are always looking to escape (jumping over or digging under fences)

    • Bark frequently and excessively. Due to our residential neighborhood location, excessive barkers will NOT be tolerated.

    • Chew and/or eat inedible objects (rocks, fences, walls, raised beds, etc.)

    • Make a habit of marking (urinating on) kennels, walls, raised beds, and other furniture.

WHAT TO BRING:

We supply stainless steel dog bowls, toys, a raised cot and bedding - you do not need to bring these items! We also can provide enrichment activities and kibble if desired/needed.

  • Up to date vaccination records

    • We REQUIRE Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations

    • We REQUIRE flea/tick/lice treatment and deworming

  • Collar, harness, leash

  • Please supply your dog’s own food for its stay to prevent gastrointestinal issues (pack enough for their whole stay plus extra!)

    • Please include feeding instructions on feeding amounts and times

    • We have a fridge and freezer available if needed for your dog’s food

  • Please supply your dog’s own medication and supplements and associated supplies (syringes & needles, pill pockets, etc.)

    • Pack enough for their whole stay plus extra!

    • Please include medication instructions - how to administer, dosages, and times

  • Any personal items you would like your dog to have during their stay (toys, bedding) - not recommended for dogs that chew or destroy items

DROP OFF/PICK UP TIMES:

Monday-Friday: 9:00am - 11:00am & 5:00pm - 7:00pm

Closed Lobby: 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day

Early OR Late, Saturday OR Sunday Drop Off/Pick Up must be pre-arranged (please call/text Sara (406) 570-8892 to arrange alternative times) and a $10.00 fee will be added to your invoice.

Please note that any boarding reservation made within 7 days of a major holiday will require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
